A 3-year-old child died after being struck by a truck Saturday on a street in the Chantilly area of Fairfax County, the police said. The child was struck in the roadway in the 4200 block of Airline Parkway, the police said. Officers were called there at 3:48 p.m. The child died at the scene, the police said.
