A pedestrian was struck by a Metra train near Lake Forest Station, halting services and causing extensive delays. The pedestrian's condition is unknown.

A woman was injured Monday morning when she was struck by a commuter rail train at the Lake Forest Station, Metra officials said. The identity of the woman was not released. Metra spokesperson Meg Riele said Metra had been told that the woman’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Around 8:55 a.m., outbound train 2107 on the Milwaukee North Line struck the person near the Lake Forest station, 911 Telegraph Rd., Metra officials said.
