Prince William is focusing on the importance of wildlife conservation during his current visit to South Africa, and one prominent expert in the field—Australian conservationist Robert Irwin —is praising the royal for his efforts.

William is currently in South Africa for his annual Earthshot Prize awards, which take place tomorrow on November 6 and will award individuals for their efforts in environmental conservation. During last year's event, Irwin called William a “a real beacon to everyone in the conservation field.”
