The strike by Culinary Workers Union at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas enters a tense second day, with workers demanding better pay.

Some 700 union employees walked off the job Friday after negotiations resulted in proposals that were “miles apart,” according to the Culinary Union.

Day two of the Culinary Workers Union's strike was in full effect outside of the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas Saturday as 700 union workers took to the streets to fight for better pay.

Picketing continued Sunday outside a hotel-casino near the Las Vegas Strip that remained open with no talks scheduled between management and union members striking for a new contract.
