Hurricane Helene has left officials in five Southeastern states grappling to respond to the widespread destruction it caused after hitting Florida as a Category 4 storm last week, with the death toll now entering the triple digits.

It has been four days since Helene made landfall. At least 104 deaths have been confirmed, search-and-rescue efforts continue and people are still waiting for water.

In the Big Bend, some lost nearly everything they own. Some churches canceled regular services while others like Faith Baptist Church in Perry opted to worship outside.
