In a tragic incident, Nashville businessman and a treasured member of the community, William H. Freeman, popularly known as Bill Freeman, passed away on November 16, 2024.

Metro Police officials said they were called to his home Sunday night and they found Freeman dead in an apparent suicide. Freeman, well-known across the region as a business leader, a political player and 2015 Nashville mayoral candidate,

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Billionaire businessman Bill Freeman has died. Freeman's son, who is a state representative from Nashville, confirmed the passing. His cause of death is not known at this time.
