Greenville County voters have rejected a capital project sales tax that would have gone toward updating and fixing the area’s deteriorating road inventory.

Richland County’s transportation tax narrowly passed in 2012 and was set to expire by the end of 2026 if voters didn’t support extending it.

Greenwood County's capital project sales tax will continue for the next seven years when the 2016 tax comes to an end in 2025.

Beaufort County voters rejected a sales tax and bond measure, leaving traffic infrastructure plans unfunded and questions about future tax increases. Concerns over past project delays and spending inefficiencies may have contributed.
