Following in the footsteps of Dennis Dugan's 1996 classic sports comedy movie Happy Gilmore, its sequel Happy Gilmore 2 is reportedly set to be released in early 2025.

Focusing on Sandler’s titular unlikely golfer who becomes known for his long drives, the original Happy Gilmore hit theaters in February 1996 from Universal Pictures. The sports comedy was directed by Dennis Dugan, who is an executive producer on the sequel.

Real PGA pro and two-time Major Championship winner John Daly revealed he has filmed scenes for Happy Gilmore 2 and teases a release window.

"Adam greeted the kids with handshakes, signed t-shirts, and even allowed the children to take photos with him and other cast members."
