MUMBAI: The Maharashtra assembly elections will be held on November 20, with the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance vying to retain power and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) combine hoping for a strong comeback.

As Maharashtra readies for Assembly elections on 20 Nov, manifestos released by BJP-led Mahayuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi seem to have acknowledged joblessness in the state—promising to dole out sops to the unemployed youth if they come to power.

With two days to go before Maharashtra votes, the ruling coalition Mahayuti and its challenger Maha Vikas Aghadi have put out newspaper ads targeting each other.

Maharashtra's upcoming elections focus on unemployment, with both Mahayuti and MVA promising job creation, government vacancies, stipends for students, and support for women and entrepreneurs.
