Two people were killed in a rear-end crash early this morning on Malabar Road in Malabar, and Florida Highway Patrol investigators continue piecing together details to determine what happened.

A deadly crash in Palm Bay has shut down a portion of Malabar Road. The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at Marie Street near US-1. There is a roadblock reported in the area. This is a developing story.

FHP said both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Malabar Road when one rear-ended the other. Investigators said both occupants in the vehicle that was hit from behind died at the crash site. Troopers are working to identify those two people, as they were not carrying identification, FHP said.
