Birmingham Police are investigating an incident that happened at the Topgolf in Birmingham Sunday evening. Investigators say the business temporarily went on lockdown after someone fired shots in the area.

Shots fired outside Topgolf in north Birmingham led to a brief lockdown of the facility Sunday. Before 6 p.m., a male fired shots at a group of males in the parking lot in the 100 block of 24th Street North. Officer Truman Fitzgerald said no one was injured, but an occupied vehicle was shot into.

Davon Rayford, 28, of Columbus, fired shots in a Topgolf parking lot in Columbus after getting into an argument with the people whom he was golfing with.

Those who were playing at Topgolf were taken inside the facility after it was placed on lockdown and remained inside until they were given the all clear that they could go back to
