New York City politicians are calling on Whoopi Goldberg to apologize for suggesting on air that a local bakery had declined to make “The View” co-host a batch of desserts for her birthday because of her political beliefs.

"The View" co-host didn't provide any additional comment on Monday during the show about the back-and-forth over a Staten Island bakery.

The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg implied that a Staten Island bakery refused to take her order because of her liberal politics. The bakery denied the accusation and claimed they were having boiler issues.
