Bangladesh’s interim leader and Nobel Peace laureate Muhammad Yunus says his administration will seek the extradition of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from India, where has been in exile since fleeing a mass uprising in August.

DHAKA: Bangladesh will seek the extradition of ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina who was toppled in a revolution in August and fled to India, interim leader Muhammad Yunus said.

Nearly 1,500 students, workers and civilians were killed during the anti-government protests in July and August, said the country’s interim leader.
