A coalition of nonprofits announced an ambitious goal to cut street homelessness in Dallas in half by 2026. They say they're already almost halfway to that goal.

Housing Forward, the non-profit overseeing the effort, says $30 million will help expand the outreach beyond downtown Dallas.

Booker Campbell gasped when he opened the door to his new apartment after spending months living on the streets of downtown Dallas. Campbell, 63, clapped with glee as case managers helped him move in his suitcases and belongings.
