Victor Osimhen scored twice to help Galatasaray beat the 10 men of Tottenham

Tottenham travel to the hostile atmosphere of Galatasaray this evening. Spurs have so far won all three of their games in the Europa League this season, with Ange Postecoglou’s side looking in a strong position to secure qualification for the knockout rounds. Still, tonight’s opponents are flying too and are yet to taste defeat themselves.

Osimhen scored his first goal in Europe for Galatasaray after his transfer from Napoli with a precise low shot inside the right post to give the host a 2-1 lead in the 31st minute and added his second eight minutes later by heading home a curled cross from the right by Dries Mertens.

Osimhen was the star of the show, scoring a brace to lead his side to victory and effectively condemning Tottenham to their first Europa League defeat this season.

Tottenham travel to Galatasaray on Thursday as the Europa League resumes. Spurs are unbeaten in Europe thus far and beat AZ Alkmaar 1-0 last time out, with Richarlison scoring a penalty and Mikey Moore impressing on his first start for the first team.
