The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued an AMBER Alert for two children who were taken from a home in Waynesville.

The Haywood County Sheriff's Office says two children, who were the subjects of an Amber Alert overnight, have been found safe. "The children were found unharmed, thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office and the Cherokee Tribal Police Department,

According to the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons, the Haywood County Sheriff's Office was looking for 12-year-old Alazay Shelby Rose and three-year-old Kinley Maelena Stepp, who were believed to be with 46-year-old Jacob Grant Aaron Stepp.
