Amazon MGM Studios announced in October 2024 that John Krasinski would be returning to play Jack Ryan in the upcoming movie. The Office mainstay and A Quiet Place creator most recently appeared in IF, a movie he also wrote and directed. Per Deadline, he's also set to lead Guy Ritchie ’s Fountain of Youth, though no release date has been announced.

According to Variety, Krasinski would reprise his titular role as Jack Ryan with Wendell Pierce set to return in his performance as James Greer. Meanwhile, Michael Kelly is reportedly in negotiations to reprise his role as Mike November. No other additional casting information has been released at this time, but stay tuned for potential updates.

The upcoming film will be helmed by season 2 director Andrew Bernstein, with a script from Aaron Rabin ( Nobody 2 ). Krasinski will also serve as a producer, coming hot off the heels of his family fantasy IF, and the continued success of his A Quiet Plac e franchise.
