Sep 17, 2022 · Dbrand Dark Plates 2.0 have been tested several times with multiple youtube videos. Testing has been done with multiple ssd types. I have had mine on since release of the plates. I have a 2 tb Samung 980 Pro in my PS5. 0 issues. I also constantly clean it and have it in a clean ventilated area. I think alot of people dont clean.

With a mesh cover it’s lower and optimal range, without any cover it’s even lower but dust.

Nov 11, 2022 · If you’re going to get covers with venting I would suggest the Dbrand darkplates as those also include a dust filter on the venting to prevent excess dust from getting in the console. All that will eventually remain, depending on the the severity of the defect, are minor superficial scratches if the faceplate did in fact scratch into the surface rather than simply transfer material.

What’s everyone’s opinion on dbrand’s darkplates 2.0?
Dec 28, 2021 · Late to your convo, but i have the 2.0 plates. Theyre awesome. System runs better and more quiet thanit ever did with the plates that came with the ps5. I find that the belief sony intentionally didnt put vents in is very misplaced. Most companies today are cutting corners to reduce costs. They dont give 2 fs for the customer, sony included.
